The design of this cup was born out of a romantic gesture; Sam of Eastfield Ceramics made the original indented cup form for someone that she had been seeing at that time. They feature an indent where one's thumb or finger would rest, making the warmth of a beverage feel like clasping someone’s hand. The outward-turning lip also makes the drinking experience more comfortable.
These cups are glazed with a palette reminiscent of blueberry granola and yoghurt, and is part of Eastfield's tradition of designing glaze palettes inspired by food. As each mug is glazed by hand and a little different from its peers, they are ideal for gifting in pairs.
