Danielle Tay
Danielle Tay is fascinated by the events and happenings in daily life which are sometimes overlooked. She is concerned with bringing the unseen to life and capturing the essence of fleeting moments which resonate with her. Her work traverses the boundaries of painting and craft, the abstract and the figurative, and incorporates processes of printmaking, painting and collage.
A graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, Danielle has been featured in The Peak magazine’s Jan 2017 issue in ‘The New Wave, Singapore’s next generation of artists’ and was named ‘Artist of the Month’ by ‘The Artling’ in April 2017. She earned a Highly Commended Award in the reputable Rise Art Prize 2018.
Danielle has exhibited both locally and internationally in London, Korea, Moscow, Hong Kong and Singapore and her works are held in private collections in Singapore, USA, UK and Australia. She has collaborated with and created works for clients such as JTC, Facebook, CapitaLand, the Singapore Tourism Board and MUJI.
