BOUND by Lu-Lyn Chang

BOUND by Lu-Lyn Chang

BOUND by macrame artist Lu-Lyn Chang is a slow fashion label that celebrates the time-honoured art of macrame and weaving techniques in the creation of its handmade bags and accessories. At the heart of BOUND's philosophy is a profound respect for the environment and a desire to minimise mass production and wastage. Each bag and fashion accessory in the collection is made using 100% natural and/or recycled cotton strings, jute fibres and threads derived from upcycled textile waste wherever possible.

Each bag and fashion accessory is a one of a kind creation that celebrates your unique style.  Each bag and fashion accessory is painstakingly woven, tied, twisted and knotted using traditional weaving and macrame techniques and therefore takes a considerable amount of time and effort to construct.

Responsibly made, conscious of our environment and respectful of our makers, owning a BOUND accessory means owning a unique and sustainable piece of fashion, made responsibly, made with love and made just for you.

Made responsibly with 100% natural cotton threads.

BOUND sources our materials carefully from manufacturers in Australia, Indonesia and Latin America. Each bag and fashion accessory are thoughtfully crafted using 100% natural cotton strings, jute fibres, silk, wool, raffia and threads derived from upcycled textile waste wherever possible.

A Tale of Two Bandits

A Tale of Two Bandits

A Tale of Two Bandits ("ATTB") is a two-man band, dedicated to the modern adaptation and reconfiguration of traditional time-honoured metalsmithing methods with the goal of creating ornaments of quality and beauty.

Rachel is the artist behind A Tale of Two Bandits. Having been a metalsmith for the past 14+ years, she creates jewellery that showcases the grit of natural raw materials. She takes inspiration from prominent geographic textures, releasing one unique piece at a time through an unequivocally organic effort from start to finish.

Azri is a thalassophile and, when on land, finds fluidity at the jewellers bench and behind the camera capturing the beauty of each jewellery piece Rachel creates. He also manages sales and operations for ATTB.

Ng Si Ying / atinymaker

Ng Si Ying / atinymaker

A graduate in Visual Communications from the Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media, Ng Si Ying is a designer by day and a rattan artist by night.

Her research project, atinymaker by Ng Si Ying, originated from a desire to discover more about a material that was, and still is, very dear to Singapore and Southeast Asia - rattan. Si Ying is on a mission to exhaust the possibilities of rattan and push its materiality in aesthetics and function. For her, every work and exploration with rattan is an ongoing dialogue to rediscover the old and new relationships between material-object-man and rattan’s purpose in our time.

Eastfield Ceramics

Eastfield Ceramics

Doctor Samantha Tan and Art educator Megan Miao run Eastfield Ceramics, a young local ceramics outfit that produces small-batch tableware often inspired by food.

Eastfield Ceramics make functional homeware with expressive, colourful glaze combinations. Their goal is to create wares that are not only great to eat off, but are also tactile and delicious on their own, enhancing the flavours and experiences of the home. Although each collection has a distinctive palette, no two pieces are the same due to the process of glazing. Their craft focuses on organic forms that sit comfortably in the hand, while also being affordable art objects that can be on display in the home.

As an artist, Megan has shown at Singapore Design Week, Gillman Barracks and the Substation. Additionally, she has also designed and run Art workshops at the Esplanade and Telok Ayer Arts Club. Her art practice involves looking at the boundaries of belief systems and reconciling differences through conversation.
